![]() ![]() I don’t claim to know either, but I don’t think we’re ever gonna be able to rule out suicide for Mac unfortunately. ![]() I’m sorry if this post was harsh or graphic, but I just hate when people overlook Mac’s depression/anxiety. Told himself fuck it, this is it, kept getting fucked up, and filmed a So It Goes vinyl to leave a clue, barely able to hold the camera. However when he reached that point, instead of getting help, he sort of rode with it. I think Mac slowly got to that point, without suicide in mind. Sometimes when you get fucked up speedballing you get to a point where you’re scared to die. Maybe this time, he actually went through with the Grande Finale plan. He played it on IG live hours before dying. It was the Swimming equivalent to Grande Finale. A line like “I’m the only suicidal motherfucker with a smile on” isn’t a lyric “that could mislead people to think he’s suicidal”, it’s a fucking cry for help. ![]() Mac was metaphoric sometimes but his style around that time was pretty straight up. ![]() He refers to himself as suicidal on Malibu, Diablo and countless other songs. He was planning on dying after Grand Finale, from an overdose (which would of been premeditated, therefore a suicide). I’m saying this because I’ve been listening to this man’s music for almost 10 years, and I know that: He never really had been able to stay sober for a good period of time, which is a testament to how bad his anxieties were. I’m no psychologist but it’s obvious Mac had been suffering from pretty significant mental health problems, and that the drug addiction was no more than a coping mechanism. It’s annoying how you guys are so quick to label it as an accidental OD, just because of the taboo of suicide. I know I’ll get disIikes for saying this on this thread but fuck it. ![]()
